WU BLOCK LP and ‘Driving Round’

How cool is the album cover

When we first heard about this project we were a bit skeptical and had no idea what it would be like, after all last time we saw Ghostface he was desperately selling T-shirts on stage at his own concert. WU Block is colabo of Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block between Sheek Louch and Ghostface Killer. A few days ago Sheek Louch and Ghostface Killer kicked out this dope ass song ‘Driving Round’.

It’s so soulful with Erykah Badu’s classic vocals and inserted smooth sample; the lyrics are so good and vivid that you can shut your eyes and imagine cruising in a soft top through hood looking out at the horror around you :-(. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that a lot of the rappers we hear on the radio still live in the places they grew up in where people are struggling, as the divide between rich and poor in the USA is as big as it ever has been. WU Block has got a real old school feel to it in a good way, this record could have come out in 1998!! Go check it out for your self full stream it over @ AOL. With commercial Hip Hop in dark place a the moment anything decent the slips through the cracks is welcome and this is a solid LP.

Don’t be expecting some Kendrick Lemar future shit but If you like 90’s Hip hop you will love WU BLOCK! It’s out now @ Itunes.
